FAQ
Somatic sex coaching is a body-based approach to healing, learning, and transformation around sexuality, intimacy, and self-connection. “Somatic” means “of the body,” so rather than focusing only on talking or analyzing the mind, we bring awareness to the sensations, emotions, and wisdom that live within the body.
In sessions, we work gently and intentionally with breath, movement, touch (where appropriate and always with consent), and guided awareness to help you reconnect to your body’s natural intelligence. This allows you to release shame, uncover patterns that may be limiting pleasure or intimacy, and cultivate deeper trust and presence with yourself and others.
Somatic sex coaching is not about performance—it’s about embodiment. It’s about coming home to yourself, discovering what feels true and alive in your body, and learning how to communicate and express that from a place of confidence, curiosity, and love.
Somatic sex coaching is for anyone who wants to feel more connected—to their body, their pleasure, their emotions, and their relationships. People come to this work for many different reasons: to heal from past experiences, to deepen intimacy with a partner, to rediscover desire, or simply to cultivate a more embodied, authentic relationship with themselves.
This approach can support individuals and couples of all genders, orientations, and backgrounds. It’s especially helpful for those who feel disconnected from their bodies, who experience shame or anxiety around sexuality, or who sense there’s more to their pleasure and emotional expression but aren’t sure how to access it.
You don’t need to have a specific “problem” to benefit. Somatic sex coaching can be a powerful space for exploration, self-discovery, and growth—whether you’re healing old wounds or expanding into new dimensions of love, intimacy, and aliveness.
While traditional sex therapy often focuses on discussion, analysis, and cognitive understanding, somatic sex coaching works through the body as the primary pathway for learning and transformation. Rather than talking about your experiences, we explore what’s happening within your experiences—through sensation, breath, movement, and mindful awareness.
This approach recognizes that our bodies hold memories, emotions, and patterns that can’t always be accessed through words alone. By engaging the body directly, we create space for deeper integration, healing, and embodied understanding.
Somatic sex coaching is experiential, meaning you learn by feeling, noticing, and practicing in real time. It’s not about fixing or diagnosing—it’s about reconnecting with your body’s wisdom and expanding your capacity for pleasure, intimacy, and authentic expression.
Where traditional talk therapy may help you understand why something is happening, somatic sex coaching helps you feel what’s happening and transform it from the inside out.
Each session is a guided exploration designed to help you connect more deeply with your body, emotions, and desires. We begin with conversation to clarify your intentions, boundaries, and areas of curiosity or growth. From there, we move into somatic practices—this may include breathwork, movement, mindfulness, guided visualization, or touch-based exercises (always optional and always with clear, ongoing consent).
You are in control at every step. Sessions unfold at your pace and are tailored to your comfort level and personal goals. My role is to offer tools, support, and presence so that you can feel safe enough to explore, express, and expand.
You might experience emotional release, new sensations, or deeper clarity around what your body is communicating. Over time, many clients notice greater self-trust, increased pleasure, improved communication in relationships, and a renewed sense of aliveness.
Somatic sex coaching is not performance-based—it’s an invitation to slow down, listen inward, and return to your natural capacity for connection, pleasure, and wholeness.
